PG - Guest Lecture: Psychology - 04/12/2017

The guest lecture was given by Dr. Justine K James, Associate Professor, Department of Psychology, Christ University, Bangalore.The guest lecture introduced the students into the different aspects of using descriptive and inferential statistics in Psychology research. The lecture detailed on the various approaches, corresponding statistical tools and the application of the same in research. Students were encouraged to come up research topics and were asked to reason out the statistical tool they would use in those situations. As a whole the session was indeed successful and beneficial for the students to understand the technical details in using statistical procedures. The knowledge gained would indeed come handy for the students in their subsequent semesters where they are expected to complete their projects and dissertation.
