DISHA PG 2021 - ONLINE SKILL DEVELOPMENT & CAREER GUIDANCE SESSION: 14 NOVEMBER 2021 – ADMISSION COMMITTEE

The admission committee had conducted an Online Skill Development & Career Guidance Session - DISHA 2021 – PG on 14 th November 2021. The session was conducted online through Google meet and it was open to all students aspiring for higher studies. A total of 68 students registered for the event.

The objective of the session was to intensify awareness about higher studies. How higher studies helps students to achieve their goals and the different course one can pursue in post-graduation degree. By studying a postgraduate degree, one develops skills that supports through daily life, such as time management, researching, presentation and writing skills. Additional qualifications will improve career prospects. Many employers look for the advanced knowledge and skills of postgraduates, as well as the commitment they have demonstrated in achieving a further qualification.

The webinar was divided as two sessions, where the first session was handled by Dr. Kanchana Goudar – the PG Coordinator of SFS College. She explained about the significance and the need for higher studies. The opportunities and skill set one possess after the post-graduation level was conveyed to the participants. The second session was taken up by Ms. Sonia S Baby – the Head of Admissions at SFS College. She explained about the different courses that are available after one completes the under-graduation degree. The eligibility criteria and the cut-off percentages for various PG courses was informed. The session was successfully completed with questions from the participants.
