INFINITY GUEST LECTURE ON EMERGING TRENDS IN THE FIELD OF PSYCHOLOGY: 14 FEBRUARY 2023 - DEPARTMENT OF PSYCHOLOGY IN ASSOCIATION WITH RESEARCH CELL

Guest Lecture series at postgraduate centre gives scope to invite resource people to campus and add to the knowledge bank of students. Department of Psychology, Postgraduate Centre in association with Research Cell initiated to host Infinity Guest Lecture Series. The resource person for the day was Dr Chetna Lakhotia who completed her Ph.D at IIS University, Jaipur on “Positive organizational correlates of employee work ethics and spirituality”. She has worked as Adjunct faculty at Christ University and at IIPR College. At present, Dr Chetna is Freelancer who was invited on 14 th February 2023 to address MSc Psychology students. She explained about psychological research becoming more inclusive and interdisciplinary. She added about change in the field of psychology due to change in scientific technology.

Dr Chetna then focused on rise of psychology podcast. Building mental health in workplace and practices were briefed. Finally, new emerging trends in psychology were explained in detail. After conclusions students had many queries. All doubts were explained with many examples. The session gave new perspective of research and future prospects to students. As budding psychologist’s new openings in the field of research motivates students them to take up research at greater level. Infinity is always an eye opener. For the academic year it brought in hope and vision in the field of psychology.
