INFINITY 2021-22 GUEST LECTURE SERIES: 28 TH & 29 TH OCT 2021: IPR CELL IN ASSOCIATION WITH DESMA (DEPARTMENT OF BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION)

An Infinity Guest Lecture series 2021 was conducted at St Francis de Sales College which was jointly organized by IPR cell and the department of Business Administration on 28 th and 29 th of October 2021. This lecture was organized to refresh the trends and applications of the dynamic world of research in various disciplines through persons who have proved for their expertise in their respective field of study. The guest lecture was conducted through offline as well as online platform via Google meet.

The first session was conducted on 28 th October 2021 at 12:00pm and was handled by Ms Suja Warrior for first & final year students of BBA. Ms Suja Warrior, a postgraduate with diploma in management from Symbiosis, Pune works with Infosys Limited as a Senior Leader in Diversity and Inclusion, HRD. Her topic for the session was HRD: Diversity and Inclusion and explained about how diverse and inclusive is one, that makes everyone feel equal in all areas of work place. Ms Suja Warrior strongly registered that the diversity is made up of people with different career backgrounds, skills etc., but everyone should be provided equal access to opportunities and resources.

The second session was held on 29 th October at 9.00am through online platform and was taken by Dr. G Delina for second year students of BBA. Dr G Delina is an Associate Professor at Kalasalingam Academy of Research and Education with 12 years of experience in teaching. She Published articles in national and international UGC care list journals. Her topic was about communication skills. Dr Delina made her presentation on prerequisites of communication, corporate communication skills, effective communication models and active listening skills.

The third session was held on 29 th October 2021 at 11:30 am and was handled by Mr. Achaiah K Cariappa for BBA aviation students. Mr. Achaiah K Cariappa is a Transition Captain at SpiceJet India Ltd, Gurugram. He was chief pilot in Ventura Air connect Ltd and Pacific airways corporation. He was awarded the Certificate of Excellence when working with Ventura Airconnect Ltd and Kingfisher airlines. His topic was on Airline Operation – An overview. His stated with how aviation provides worldwide network and why it is essential for global business. He explained about the importance of flight operations like dispatch, flight planning, weather data provision, operation control, and ground to air communications and integration with crew, schedules and maintenance planning. He briefed about the Indian airport governances and its structure. Guest lecture sessions provides an insight for the students with respect to their careers.
