SSLC EXAMINATION DUTY DURING COVID-19 CRISIS SITUATION – NCC: June 25 to July 03, 2020

Responding to the call of the Government of Karnataka during the Covid-19 pandemic, NCC Cadets of St Francis de Sales College, under the guidance of Lt. Sampath Kumar R, ANO served as Volunteers for the Karnataka Secondary Education Board (KSEEB) SSLC /10 Examinations held from June 25 to July 03, 2020 at SFS School Examination Centre.

As per the Battalion Instructions, every day 4 NCC cadets along with ANO. Lt. Sampath Kumar R took up the duty of guiding the students and parents, crowd controlling, maintaining social distance and ensuring safety and security of students during the exam.

On the last day of the examination i.e., on 3rd July 2020, S. Suresh Kumar, Honourable Minister of Primary and Secondary Education along with Mr. Ramamurthy, the Block Education Officer (BEO) and his team and various other higher officials from the Education Department visited the Examination Centre for supervision and inspection. The Education Minister greatly appreciated the work and duties performed by the ANO along with the cadets, as well as the secure facilities provided by the SFS Campus.

During the Covid-19 crisis, orders to all the districts was sent by the Government of Karnataka for the smooth conduct of the examination and for ensuring safety and security of the students. The orders from the Department of Primary and Secondary Education, Bangalore was forwarded to the respective NCC directorates and Groups and the battalions.
