CALIBRATION OF APPARATUS: 27 OCTOBER 2022 TO 17 NOVEMBER 2022 - DEPARTMENT OF SCIENCE IN COLLABORATION WITH EUREKA CLUB

An activity – calibration of apparatus by Eureka Club in collaboration with the Department of Science was initialised on 27 th October 2022 for BSc. Students of St. Francis de Sales College. 30 students activity conducted experiments and showcased to all the undergraduate B.Sc. students. The mission included encouraging students to become confident with their experimental skills and using the apparatus. Dr. Nebula Murukesh - HOD, Department of Science and Dr. M. Pandikani - Professor of Maths encouraged students with their presences and motivated the student with subject discussion based on the respective student group activities.

Students Seminars with PPT presentations based on simple principles involved in Basic Science in Daily life is encouraged. Calibration of errors, nullification of errors in the basic measuring equipment were done. Topics like Bernoulli’s Principle, Newtons Cradle, Battery Train, Wireless power transfer system, Surface Tension, Pi value determination, Series & parallel cuts, Solar energy, Hydroelectricity & Spring constant are discussed with the help of apparatus.
