FIRELESS COOKING: FLAVORS OF NUTRITION: 13 FEBRUARY 2023 - PSYLIGHT CLUB, DEPT OF PSYCHOLOGY, PG CENTRE

The fireless cooking competition was organized for the PG students of all the departments on Monday, 13 th February 2023 in Room No 004. The basic motto of the event was to help students understand and explore various quick healthy food that can be cooked without fire. The theme of the fireless cooking competition was flavors of nutrition. Students were instructed to make food that were healthy and nutritious and where there is no need of fire to cook it. A total of 17 groups participated in the event which included students from M.Sc Psychology, M.Com, M.Sc Mathematics and M.A Economics.

The judges of the competition were Mrs. Dakshina, Counselor, UG Centre, SFS College and Prof. Shanmugapriya, Dept of Mathematics, PG Centre, SFS College.

1 st Prize for the competition was bagged by Jayashree R and Chandini M from I Sem M.Sc Psychology, 2 nd place was secured by Mercy S M and Lakshmi Rajesh Nair from I Sem M.Sc Psychology, 3 rd prize was bagged by Shwetha and Sheetal from I Sem M.Sc Mathematics. The students enjoyed participating in the competition and a healthy and helpful competition was seen. The event ended at 1:30 PM post which the students enjoyed the flavors of nutrition created by their friends. Students also explored healthy food options and helped each other during the event which in turn enhanced their helping behaviour.
