NCC DAY CELEBRATION AT CHIKKAKANNAHALLI, BANGALORE ON NOV 27TH, 2019

The NCC Cadets celebrated the “ NCC DAY ” on 27th of November 2019 at Hadosiddapura Lake, Chikkakannahalli, Bangalore. 50 NCC Cadets from Group ‘A’ and Group ‘B’ participated in this event. The Chief Guests were DDG of Karnataka and Goa Directorate Air Commander Lalith Kumar Jain and Mr. Anand who is better known as the "Lake Man of Bangalore". Lt. Sampath Kumar L – ANO of our College accompanied them.

The event commenced with a formal introduction of the Chief Guests DDG of Karnataka and Goa Directorate Air Commander Lalith Kumar Jain and Mr. Anand. The NCC Song was sung by the choir followed by the lighting of the lamp by the dignitaries. The MC invited Mr. Lalith Kumar Jain to address the gathering. He emphasized the fact that these students are privileged that they get to serve their country in one way when compared with other students. That was a really proud moment for them. After a motivational speech by him, Mr. Anand took over the dais. He spoke of how the reason behind his success and the story behind him being named as the 'Lake Man of Bangalore'. He motivated all the Cadets by saying the quote "Don't wait until conditions are perfect to begin.Beginning- is the perfect condition. So always be the first one to begin any work”. The formal program concluded with our National Anthem.

The Main Agenda of Day’s celebration was "Water Conservation" where the cadets were partitioned into groups, and sent to motivate the public and villagers regarding the importance of water and also clean the surrounding of the lake which was situated in the same village 'Chikkakannahalli'. The NCC Cadets did a commendable job of cleaning the lake and inspired the surrounding people to maintain it. The Cadets thanked their Commanding officer and ANO Lt. Sampath Kumar for his constant support and guidance.
