NSS Annual Camp 2018-19: Jan 30-Feb 06, 2019

The NSS Annual Camp was conducted in the Doddabejjalatti, Kanakapura Taluk, Ramanagara District, Bengaluru. It was an 8 days of camp, from Jan 30 to Feb 06, 2019. In total there were 50 volunteers, including boys and girls. Among 50 volunteers 2 were seniors and leading the camp. There were also two others from the KCD (Karnataka Civil Defence) to guide.

On the first day of the camp, all the volunteers gathered in the school ground. It was 5:00 am in the morning; we had PT parade and exercise till 6:00am. Then we had a flag hosting at 6:00am to 6:30am. As it was the first day, there was an Inauguration program conducted and the chief guests of the program were Mohammed Abdulla Gram Panchayat President, Nageshanna Maramma Devi Adhyaksharu, Sukanya Bairappa Gram Panchayat member along with Fr. Roy, the Principal of the College and Fr. Jijo Jose, the Vice-Principal. The program started at 11:00 am to 1:00 pm. After the program we had a photo session with our principal and vice-principal. After we had our lunch. There was technical session from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm. Once the technical session was over we had flag de-hosting at 5:00 pm till 6:00 pm. Later we had cultural planning for the next day. At 9:00 pm we had dinner and went to sleep. This was the schedule is followed for all the day, but there was Shramadhana from 7:00am to 10:00 am and after the breakfast from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm. These activities were strictly followed by all the volunteers in the camp.

On 3rd of February 2019, a Health Camp was conducted with the tie up from Narayana Nethralaya and Narayana cancer Hospital. From morning 10:00 am till 3:45 pm, the health camp was held. Health Camp included like general check-up, Eye Check Up, Oral/Breast Cancer awareness. There were 500 people in the health camp. More than 100 people were provided with the spectacles.

In the camp, all the volunteers had a chance to exhibit their talents, skills, to lead the team members with co-ordination, team spirit etc. The people in the village were much affectionate and showed their love and cared much in the camp.
