PROBLEM SOLVING & IDEATION: 20 JANUARY 2023 - DEPARTMENT OF SCIENCE(UG) IN ASSOCIATION WITH DEPARTMENT OF MATHEMATICS(PG)

A session on problem solving & Ideation was conducted on 20 January 2023 by the Department if Science in association with Department of Mathematics for UG and PG students. The resource person for the session was Assistant Professor Johnson Pereira, Department of Commerce, St Francis de Sales College, Bangalore.

Testing problem solving requires both an ability to correctly define a problem and finding a solution to it. Ideation in turn is often regarded as creativity, the ability to come up with new ideas and ways of doing, the ideas and thus solving the problems.

The resource person shared his knowledge & experience on the multiple aspects and the many steps involved in problem solving and ideation process. He further elaborated on Good Idea Vs Bad idea and Best Student Entrepreneurship Practices that can be adopted to enhance the student’s abilities in solving critical problems.

The important concepts covered by the speaker during the session were concept of Entrepreneurship, innovation and idea generation, problem solving, skills, characteristics, attributes and functions of Entrepreneurs, creative thinking and strategic thinking.
