ORIENTATION ON RESEARCH AND PUBLICATION: 14T MAY 2022 – DEPARTMENT OF HUMANITIES

The Department of Humanities, organized an Orientation programme for students of UG (BA and CJP- IV and VI SEM) on “Research and Publication”. It was conducted on 14 th May 2022 in the Business Lab. The session was made to see to the important concepts to research and how a publication can be done.

The major objectives of this orientation program were to make students understand the importance of research and the various prospects pertaining to research. Secondly, to make students analyse the credits involved in research and also to give them a deeper idea on how publication is done and the details of journals in which the papers are published.

The session was started off by giving an introduction by Prof. Kusuma R, Head, Department of Humanities, which was taken over by Prof. Benet Rajadurai. It majorly focused on how to write a research paper and how publication is important. This seminar was done in connection with the Student National Seminar which will be held on the 24th and 25th June, 2022. This orientation was done in to make sure that students make an active participation in the seminar and bring out the best in them.
