SEMINAR ON HIGHER EDUCATION: 26 NOVEMBER 2021 - DEPARTMENT OF ECONOMICS- PG

The Post-Graduation Department of St. Francs De Sales College organized a session on Higher Education for the UG students of B.E.S College, Jayanagar, Bangalore on 26 th November 2021. Ms. Ashwini S, II-year student of MA Economics of S.F.S. College, was an alumnus of B.E.S. College who took the initiative to conduct the seminar at B.E.S College.

This seminar was organized to create awareness among the UG students of B.E.S. College about higher education in the field of Economics. The program focused on the importance of students’ prospects in higher education, the benefits and opportunities in future and so forth. Students will deepen their understanding and analysis of critical issues with higher education landscape, develop their professional skills and competencies for success in a variety of workplace settings, and make strong connections in life.

The Economics Coordinator Prof. Arun B, gave a brief introduction about higher education in Humanities. The major avenues of the educational sector regarding job opportunities were explained. Next the students pursuing PG Courses - Shibin S and Ebin Alex, explained the procedures to be followed while applying for Master Degree Courses - Counselling Seats under Bangalore. Then Tejas V and Dravyaraj K gave an account about the various facilities available in SFS College relating to Sports and Cultural activities. This was followed by Uma R and Ms Chaithra H R who briefed about the facilities provided for girls and the library resources. The UG students of B.E.S College gained a deeper insight about the need for higher studies.
