Class room activity on STOCK TRADING THROUGH NSE: 17 th and 19 th May 2021 – Dept of BBA

Class room activity on STOCK TRADING THROUGH NSE was conducted by Prof. Geetha P S, the coordinator of the Department of Business Administration. It was conducted in the platform- Google Meet on 17 th and 19 th May 2021 for the Final year students of the BBA Department. The objective of this session was to provide the students with adequate knowledge of the stock exchange. To equip the students with necessary stock market theoretical and practical know-how so that students can apply the same in researching equity markets for wealth creation. To help the students to find and analyse companies, determine the risk of a stock investment or trade, proper entry and exit time of the stock, understand why markets move the way they do and so on.

The session started on May 17 th 2021 with a detailed guideline ton how to proceed with the trading. Students were asked to invest Rs 40,000 each in various companies by analysing risk and returns. Accordingly, on 19th May 2021, students had started invested the money on various companies under various sectors in order to diversify the risk and return in their portfolio. As the trading was done for a day, so the selling price would be the closing price of that day. In such way the profit was calculated and highest profit earned by them would be the winner in this activity.

Winners were announced at the end of the activity.
