IT TRENDS & CAREER GROWTH POST COVID-19: 13 OCTOBER 2021 - DEPARTMENT OF COMPUTER APPLICATIONS AS A PART OF CYBER SPIRITS ASSOCIATION

“Who would have imagined that Cloud Computing will be the foundation for each and every corporation in the future?”. TheDepartment of Computer Applications as a part of Cyber Spirits Association organised a Discourse on “IT TRENDS & CAREER GROWTH POST COVID-19” for theFreshers of BCA and B.Sc(MEC& CJP) students.on 13th October 2021. A total of 80 students participated in this session. As the career trends in a post COVID-19 era arebound to change, it would be wise to comprehend the reality and to prepare the students fortomorrow was the real motto of the session.

Mrs Manjula Kumar Director and Consultant - Peritia Services having 20 years ofexperience in heading corporate upskilling training programs, Government skillinginitiatives, apprenticeship promotion and CSR projects was the resource person for the day. Mrs Manjula paved a new beginning to all freshers by quoting “Change is inevitable, in the foreseeable future, but the learning must go on”. The session enlightened students on the importance of Cloud computing, Edge computing the paradigm shift towards soft computing and Block Chain. Post covid 19 trends were emphasised also various organisations like Google and Microsoft their contribution to expand cloud network usage.

She concluded the discourse on a positive note that the COVID-19 pandemic hasencouraged us to acknowledge the sensitive nature of our career decisions, and howunprecedented events may lead to a complete turnaround. It is time for us to bepragmatic in our career choices, and our decisions should run in tandem with thecareer trends to follow in a post COVID-19 world.
