DONATION DRIVE: 20 JUNE 2023 – DEPARTMENT OF BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION IN ASSOCIATION WITH DESMA

A donation drive was conducted on 20 th June 2023 for the students of Business Administration for an NGO “Goonj“ in Chikka Begur in Bengaluru. Donating to the needy not just benefits the recipient, it also benefits the donor in improving the physical, psychological, emotional, and spiritual well-being. Around 82 students from different classes and faculties have contributed in donation drive. Drive was opened to students from 14 th June to 18 th June 2023. Our students donated old clothes, new as well as old books, stationery etc. 20 students from total list of donators went to NGO Goonj along with faculties to donate on 20 th June 2023.

Goonj is an advocate of people for social change, depending entirely on donations and volunteer contribution. They have several drop-off services all around the city. Their mission is to turn “waste” material, an under-utilised resource, into garments in a dignified manner for the poor and less fortunate.

The donation drive though distinct in its approach had a common objective – to help the poor and the underprivileged sections of the society. The programme received extremely positive feedback and the College intends to provide such opportunities to students in the future as well.
