INDUSTRIAL VISIT TO UNIBIC FACTORY: 4 JUNE 2023 – DEPARTMENT OF BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION

Department of Business Administration (UG & PG) students visited UNIBIC Factory on 4 th July 2023. 93 students went for the industrial visit and the students were accompanied by Prof. Sonia Ashok and Prof. Geetha P S.

The manufacturing unit created the awareness among the students on the production and automation process of the company. It provided an opportunity for students to see and experience real workstations, plants, machines, systems, assembly lines, and interact with highly trained and experienced personnel.

Students visited the processing plant, packaging plant of biscuits and cookies where they got a chance to see the inside view of the factory right from the dough (the first input) to the last stage i.e., packaging. The environment inside was aesthetic, pure, and hygienic. Further, Mr Sanath, the Manager, who was the coordinator at UNIBIC guided students during the visit. He displayed a documentary film on UNIBIC factory explaining the working and an insightful presentation related to the working of the plant. He also described the diversified functions of the company in a nutshell and throw light on the market share of the product as well.

Overall, the visit was highly interactive and a great learning experience for the students on the concepts related to production and operations within a manufacturing plant. Students expressed their gratitude to Mr Sanath, Manager for providing such an opportunity to enhance their knowledge.
