INTERNATIONAL YEAR OF MILLET: 1 DECEMBER 2023 – NATIONAL CADET CORPS (NCC)

On 1 st December 2023, NCC cadets of SFS college of 1/1 COY ARMY WING, 1 KAR BN NCC, conducted awareness activity on International Year of Millet 2023 under the leadership of our ANO Capt. Sampath Kumar R. The event took place with a total of 45 cadets.

A Lots of activities were held in the college with respect to the International Year of Millets. Cadets enthusiastically took part in IYOM activities which refers to the International Year of Millets (IYOM), designated by the United Nations. It was a global initiative aimed at raising awareness about the benefits of millets for both human health and the environment. The main highlight of the event was the talk show and PPT presentation conducted by cadets based on the theme nutrition and its importance in our lives. The classroom activity was interactive one as our ANO educated the students about the International Year of Millets 2023 declared by UNO. It helped in educating the students about Millet, it's importance and benefits. This activity promoted cadets to bring more innovative ideas in building a healthy mind and body. The activity was a great success. Cadets learnt that one of the best ways to build strength and stamina is to eat nutritious foods that will provide your body with the energy and nutrients it needs in order for you to perform at your best.
