MOURNING CEREMONY: 25 NOVEMBER 2023 – NATIONAL CADET CORPS (NCC)

On 25 th of November 2023, cadets of SFS degree college belonging to 1/1 & 1/2 COY ARMY WING of 1 KAR BN NCC went to pay respect towards martyr Capt. M V Pranjal.

A mourning ceremony was held at Nandhanavana Layout, Jigani in memory of Martyr Capt. M V Pranjal. The last rites of Capt. M V Pranjal, who succumbed in a gunfight with militants in Kashmir’s Rajouri, were held with full military honours. A vast multitude gathered to pay their respects to the departed hero. A total of 40 cadets from our college took part in paying tribute to the martyr Capt. M V Pranjal. The 29-year-old from 63 Rastriya Rifles lost his life during an exchange of fire with terrorists in the Rajouri sector on Wednesday. The mortal remains of Capt. M V Pranjal arrived in Bengaluru on Friday. Karnataka Governor Thawar Chand Gehlot, Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and Minister K J George paid their last respects to martyr Pranjal at HAL Airport after his remains arrived here. During the final procession, thousands showered flowers and chanted “Amar Rahe Amar Rahe Captain Pranjal,” reflecting the profound reverence for the fallen soldier.

After a wreath-laying ceremony, Capt. Pranjal was accorded by "Ekis topo ki Salami" saluting him for his sacrifice and love towards our nation. 30 km rally was held from Jigani to Kudlu Gate in which our cadets were also part of it where thousands of people were gathered on the roadside and witnessed the emotional moment. His mortal remains were taken in a procession to a crematorium in Kudlu Gate, where the last rites were held. Capt. M V Pranjal was a true inspiration to all and brave soldier who will never be forgotten.
