NATIONAL LIBRARY WEEK: 14 TO 20 NOVEMBER 2023 – LIBRARY COMMITTEE

Library Week aims to encourage students to use the library in a good way, increase their reading habits and take part in educational activities aimed at acquainting them with libraries.The Knowledge Centre of SFS College celebrated National Library Week from November 14th to 20th, 2023. It is being celebrated as recognised of Shri I V Ramayya – Architect of Public Library Movement in India.

The library heldnumerous events in honour of library week, including a display of newly arrived books for B. Com and BBA students to inform them about the books that have been added to their collection. Collage made from news clippings on libraries, various writers and their works were displayed. Students were instructed to draw or write quotes about books and libraries on their own book marks, using their imagination. There was a review meet of the authors and books that the students have read. An interactive lesson on online resources for I year BCA students.

15 UG students from different streams participated in additional activities, while I year BCA students learned about the library's online resources. Students and faculty members also participated in the book display.
