PRE RDC-I AND CATC 2023: 14 OCTOBER 2023 TO 23 NOVEMBER 2023 – NATIONAL CADET CORPS (NCC)

On 14 th of November 2023, CATC and PRE-RDC I camp was held at Silicon city academy, Bannerghatta Road. The camp was conducted from 14th of November 2023 to 23rd November 2023 by 1 KAR Naval BN NCC unit. Twenty-two cadets from SFS degree college belonging to 1/1 COY ARMY WING of 1 KAR BN NCC were a part of CATC camp while 2 cadets took part in PRE RDC-I camp.

The opening address was held on 14th November, 2023. The day went on with a regular schedule of PT parade followed by theory and drill classes. This camp was preceded by Camp Commandant Capt. Sanjay Kumar, Subedar Major Vinay Thakur followed by Chief Petty Officer Santlal Prasad and Camp Adjutant Capt. Sampath Kumar R.

This camp had several dress inspections. Barracks of this camp was well maintained. Last three days cultural practices were held for the cultural night held. Many competitions were held in this camp which includes Drill Competition followed by Singing, Dancing, Throwball, Volleyball and Basketball. We also had friendly matches in the sport of Football, Kho Kho and kabaddi competition held in this camp. We bagged the first place in throwball and basketball under followed by 1st place in drill and dance competition. Refreshments were provided in a timely manner. We also had a skill development session held which was really informative. Cultural night held on 22nd November,2023 was well organised. Closing ceremony for this camp was held on 23rd of November,2023.

This camp helped us to get more practical knowledge with regard to weapons, judging distance map reading and so on. We are proud to announce that in this camp Senior Under Officer Tharun D and Cadet Ajay from our college got selected for the next camp. A hearty congratulations to you dear cadets. We would also like to congratulate and appreciate all the cadets who took part in this camp. Cadets took part with great zeal of enthusiasm.
