PUNITH SAGAR ABHIYAN: 23 SEPTEMBER 2023 – NATIONAL CADET CORPS

On 23rd September 2023, NCC cadets of SFS college of 1/1 & 1/2 COY ARMY WING, 1 KAR BN NCC, conducted Swachh Bharat activity and a debate competition with the topic Role of Youth in Environment Protection under the leadership of our ANO Capt. Sampath Kumar R. A total of 25 cadets from SFS degree college took part in this activity.

We conducted the Swachh Bharath activity near Huskur lake. Cadets collected nearly two gunny bags of trash from the outer wing of Huskur Lake. This activity invoked a sense of responsibility and importance of cleanliness among cadets. Cadets were also taught about maintaining cleanliness in our surroundings. We also had a lively debate competition where cadets raised questions and debated on the given topic. Through this debate cadets learned that we as youth are the central force in achieving more sustainable and healthier planet. Youths have addressed different environmental, pollution and climatic challenges through innovative ideas, demanding policy and decisionmakers for bolder action through advocacy. The event turned out to be a successful one. Cadets took part in this activity with great zeal and enthusiasm. Refreshments were also provided to cadets.
