SEMINAR ON HARNESSING GROWTH IN HEALTHCARE INDUSTRY: 24 APRIL 2023 -DEPARTMENT OF BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION

The Department of Business Administration organised a seminar on harnessing growth in healthcare industry on 24 th April 2023 for VI sem BBA students. Nearly 65 students participated in the session. The speakers for the session were Dr. Kirti Udayai Associate Professor & Dean of Academics and Student Affairs, IIHMR, and Dr. Amita Mukhopadhyay, Professor of IIHMR, Bangalore. Since business administration is closely associated with delivering healthcare it is necessary to update the existing knowledge.

Appropriate health education empowers individuals, families, and communities to actively participate in taking appropriate measures to take care of their health and wellbeing. These health education and promotion strategies during outbreaks should be contextual and continuously updated as per the change in existing knowledge pool and situation.

The seminar aims at insightful input to the student community on the future growth of healthcare and new trends in hospitality management. The students found it helpful and know about the career choice of healthcare managers has different job titles across various organizations.
