VIHAAN - A NEW LIGHT OF BEGINNING: 12 FEBRUARY 2022 - POST GRADUATE CENTRE

The Inaugural Day of the Post Graduate Centre "VIHAAN" (A New light of beginning) was celebrated on February 12, 2022 at 9:30 am in the College Auditorium to welcome the first year PG students. As a gesture of welcoming, the new comers were handed over with a message carried by butterfly as a metaphor representing transformation, hope and life also a flower which was read out by the guest.

The Chief Guest Dr. Mythili. P. Rao, Co-ordinator - Research Programmes, Phd Section, JAIN (Deemed-to-be-University), Bangalore, addressed the students with an enlightening speech to keep them motivated in achieving all the accomplishments they deserve in their life by sharing her life experiences. She explained the significance of realising how privileged we are all to be provided with education and also the importance of positive relationships in life emphasising the respect for parents. She advised the students to start with selves by quoting “Let the world begin and end with you”.

Rev. Dr. Roy, the Principal in his welcome address, he complimented the students for choosing St. Francis De Sales College and proudly gave suggestions to the fresher’s not to miss out the opportunity given by the institution and make the best use of time while upgrade themselves. Senior students also welcomed the fresher’s and briefed them about how the College strives for academic excellence and how it guarantees effective teaching-learning process in particular. They applauded them for choosing St. Francis De Sales College and expressed their hope that they would succeed in the pursuit of their goals in the campus.

The Newsletters of the Academic year 2020- 2021, GURU- a voyage to wisdom, and DeFusion was released by the Chief guest. The Chief Guest was felicitated by the Principal, Vice Principal and The PG Academic Co-ordinator. The event concluded with cultural programs.
