ABOUT THE PROGRAMME

A candidate with any degree of a minimum of 3 years duration (10+2+3) of Bangalore University or of any other University equivalent thereto with a minimum of 50% of marks in the aggregate of all subjects including languages, if any, provided further, that the candidate has studied Mathematics / Computer science /Business Mathematics / Statistics / Computer Applications / Electronics as a subject at PUC level or equivalent HSC (XII Standard) or at Degree level is eligible for admission to MCA Course. Relaxation to SC/ST, Group I be extended as per university norms.

ADMISSION GUIDELINES

The following are the documents needed in original for Admission for UG Courses:

Karnataka Students
1. Class X or SSLC Marks Card.
2. PUC or +2 or Class XII or Equivalent Marks Card (I & II Year).
3. Conduct Certificate from the Head of the Institution last attended.
4. Transfer Certificate.
5. Passport size photographs in formal dress - 06
6. Caste Certificate (if applicable)

Non- Karnataka Students
1. Class X or SSLC Marks Card.
2. PUC or +2 or Class XII or Equivalent Marks Card (I & II Year)
3. Conduct Certificate from the Head of the Institution last attended.
4. Transfer Certificate
5. Migration Certificate.
6. Passport size photographs in formal dress - 06
7. Caste and Income Certificate (if applicable).

Foreign Students
1. Mark Statements of respective country equivalent to Higher Secondary.
2. Testimonial
3. Conduct Certificate from the Head of the Institution last attended.
4. 10 passport size photographs in formals (latest).
5. Birth Certificate.
6. Residential Certificate from their country.
7. Provisional Eligibility Certificate.
8. Valid Student Visa.
9. Copy of passport attested by Gazetted Officer.

Incomplete Applications will not be processed.
• The Applicant should be personally present for Admission along with the Parent / Guardian.
• The candidate should satisfy all other conditions set by Bangalore University.
• After the counselling/interview, the candidates selected shall be enrolled after the payment of fee as per the fee structure. Final Admission is subject to the University's approval.
• No Transfer from one discipline to any other is permitted.

Conditions pertaining to submission of documents
• At the time of admission, candidates must submit all the original documents, copies and other relevant documents as well as a hard copy of the completed application form.
• Students should ensure that they keep a photocopy of the documents for themselves before submitting the same to the Academic Office/Admission Department.
• The original documents submitted will be returned to the students only after the university registration or at the end of the program.
• In order to take back these documents, student must produce the documents’ acknowledgement receipt received during the time of admission.

Eligibility for Admission
• Admission will be on merit.
• No recommendations will be entertained.

The “Inspiring Journeys: Alumni Share Their Career Stories” session aimed to provide PG first-year students at St. Francis De Sales College with valuable insights into personal and professional development. The program was designed to inspire students by sharing the career journey of Umme Hermain Naseer Ahmed Shaikh, an accomplished alumna, who offered guidance on key areas such as self-awareness, emotional intelligence, goal setting, and networking. The session sought to help students better understand themselves, overcome self-doubt, set clear and achievable goals, and build meaningful professional relationships. Additionally, the program aimed to emphasize the importance of establishing an impactful online presence and learning from feedback to foster continuous growth.

Designing with Canva – A hands on workshop:
The knowledge exchange program was conducted specifically tailored for first-year Postgraduate students, utilizing the Canva platform as a medium for fostering creativity and skill development. The initiative aimed to promote creative collaboration, enhance design and presentation skills, and encourage the development of innovative problem-solving approaches. By leveraging Canva's versatile features, students engaged in interactive learning sessions, shared resources effectively, and gained hands-on experience in producing high-quality visual content. The program successfully built a vibrant community of learners who exchanged ideas, inspired creativity, and developed critical skills essential for academic and professional growth.

Navigating the Future of Tech: Trends and Skills for Tomorrow's Workforce:
The “Navigating the Future of Tech: Trends and Skills for Tomorrow's Workforce” session aimed to equip PG first-year students with essential insights into career development, focusing specifically on the importance of internships and how they contribute to professional growth. Led by Farheen Farhath Mam, the session aimed to help students understand the different types of internships available—paid, unpaid, virtual, and in-person—and how each type plays a role in shaping one’s career path. The session also sought to provide students with practical guidance on using career portals like LinkedIn and Indeed, as well as tools for improving interview skills. A significant portion of the session was dedicated to discussing how students can balance academic commitments with internship responsibilities through effective time management. Additionally, Farheen emphasized the importance of setting clear goals and expectations for internships and career development and encouraged students to attend career fairs and workshops to build their professional networks and stay updated on industry trends.
