Gandhi Jayanthi Commemoration – Oct 02, 2020

The NSS Unit of the College under the leadership of Prof Karibasavanagowda, NSS Program Officer organised a meaningful program on the occasion of Gandhi Jayanthi on Oct 02, 2020 at 9 am.

The program started with a short introduction of the occasion – the 151 st Birth Anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, the father of the Nation and the 116 th Birth Anniversary of Lal Bahadur Shastri, the 2 nd Prime Minister of India. This was followed by a floral tribute to the great leaders.

Fr Jijo Manjackal, the Vice Principal, in his address spoke of the two important qualities to be learnt from these two distinguished leaders – the power of simplicity and the passion of total focus. He exhorted the students to follow their example and live a life of service and commitment.

Prof Karibasavanagowda, NSS Program Officer highlighted the important role played by the leaders in shaping the future of the country. Lt Sampath Kumar, ANO, NCC spoke about the greatness of these leaders in helping the nation to achieve freedom.
