QUICKWIK - USE OF SCIENTIFIC CALCULATOR: 11 JUNE 2022 - MATH Π RATES CLUB

The session QUICKWIK- Use of Scientific Calculator was conducted as activity under the Math π rates club. Math π rates is an association of students interested in promoting mathematics in the campus. The association has the mission to facilitate the study of mathematics beyond the classrooms and realise mathematics as an integral part of their life.

The activity was conducted in class under the guidance of Prof. Roshini, Department of Mathematics, Prof. Pandikani, Department of Mathematics, Prof. Rashmi N, Co-ordinator, Department of Science. The students from VI SEM BSC (MEC) and VI SEM BSC (PCM) were part of this activity. The theme of the activity was about “Scientific calculators”. The activity was conducted to get the basic knowledge of the scientific calculators and to learn about it and use it the most efficient way.

The Presentation was prepared on the same and presented by the following students: Harshitha.K, President-Math π rates club, Roja.E From VI SEM BSC (MEC) and Jyoti Singh VI SEM BSC (PCM). The session started with the basic introduction about the scientific calculators then explained about tips and tricks to use scientific calculators in addition to these demonstrated different methodologies, functionalities about solving mathematical equations such as solving matrices, complex numbers, definite integrals, Differentiation etc. The students from the both classes have given their active participation in the activity. It was an enriching and valuable learning for everyone.
