REPUBLIC DAY – 2022: 26 TH JANUARY 2022 – NATIONAL CADET COPRS (NCC)

On 26 th January 2022, under the guidance of our ANO Lt. Sampath Kumar R, 73 rd Republic Day was celebrated at St. Francis De Sales College premises wherein a total of 90 cadets actively participated in the program which commenced at 7am in the morning. The theme of this year's Republic Day was titled as ' Indian air force transforming for the future'.

Republic day is celebrated every year on 26th January in order to celebrate the adaption of Indian constitution replacing the Government of India Act as the governing document of India and thus, turning the nation into a newly formed republic. It is the longest written Constitution in the world.

The event at the college began with flag hoisting ceremony by the President of the event Rev. Dr. Roy, Vice – Principal Rev.Fr. Jijo Jose, ANO Lt. Sampath Kumar R along with Guard of Honour team. The cadets presented different cultural events like group song, solo dance and solo singing. Later, drill competition was conducted between the different companies namely Alpha, Bravo, Charli and KCD wardens and Rovers and Rangers. All over, the program was of great success and filled with patriotism.
