BOOK TALK: 26 APRIL 2023 – LIBRARY COMMITTEE OF SFS COLLEGE

The committee of the Knowledge Centre at SFS college organized a ‘Book Talk Day’ on 26 th February 2023. The library committee started the session by introducing the books and it themes. A brief overview of the content, characters and personal inspirations were shared for writing a book. The students of UG were engaged throughout the talk and asked several insightful questions about themes and idea of the books.

Book talks can quench readers’ thirst for new books to read from a trusted source. It Provide an authentic purpose for reading and cultivate the habits of strong reading habit. People who read a lot often talk about books with others to share what they’ve learned from the book or how the book has changed them in some way. Through wide reading and discussion, readers develop identities as they embrace favourite authors, genres, topics, series, and other aspects of books.

The students discussed the creative process behind the book, their research, writing habits and revision strategies. They talked about the challenges they faced during the writing process and how they overcame it. Most of the students and faculties got to know the knowledge and it was an excellent opportunity for book lovers to learn more about the creative process behind it.
