CERTIFICATE COURSE ON HEALTH PSYCHOLOGY: MARCH 2021 – DEPARTMENT OF HUMANITIES

The Department of Humanities conducted a Certificate course - Health Psychology for the students of St. Francis De Sales, Bangalore. It was conducted in the month of March 2021 and was open for both the UG and PG students. The aim of the course is to focus on the health promotion and health maintenance. It focused on stress and the health and its relation. It even aimed to focus on the modification and the enhancement of behaviours of the individuals. A total of 30 students have registered and all were benefited from the course.

A detailed view of how one can modify and enhance the behaviours of people and how stress is related to health was given. The programme gave students a platform to understand the choice of psychological process and the relation it has with our health. They had a clear picture and understood the basics and the theories which are associated with it. The fundamentals of the concepts were taught on the basis of the students understanding and keeping in mind the contemporary concepts in Psychology. The course also catered on ameliorating the crucial skills, understanding the personality of the individuals and many more.
