CAREER GUIDANCE SESSION 2: 7 JUNE 2022 – ELECTRONICS IC CLUB (B.SC.)

Career Guidance session was conducted for the students of B.Sc. (MEC) VI sem on June 7 th 2022 during the IV hour by Prof. Jenifer Sujitha G. It was an activity conducted by the Electronics IC club (Department of Science). This was conducted in order to create awareness among the students about the different career opportunities and the various higher education courses like, Master of Science (MSc),Master of Business Administration (MBA): MBA in Data Science, MBA in IT, MBA in Hospital Management, etc, Master of Computer Applications (MCA),Masters in Management (MIM),Masters in Social work(MSW),Masters in Data Science, Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning, Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.),Master of Education(Med),Technical Short-term Courses , that they could opt after B.Sc.

Students were also informed about the various competitive exams or Government Exams like UPSC, IAF, IFS exam, RBI exams, etc, so that they would be recruited into various government sectors. Students were also told about the various job opportunities like, Research Scientist, Clinical Research Specialist, Lab Technician, Biochemist, Assistant Professor/Lecturer, Lab Assistant, IT/Technical Jobs etc. At the end of the session students were given guidance on various career opportunities like actuary, financial risk analyst, accountant etc. available after doing higher education in Mathematics. Career counselling drives students towards their right path by characterizing a clear road map for them. A good career map helps a student be on track and accomplish beneficial outcomes.
