SESSION ON CAREER GUIDANCE: 8 MAY 2023 – EUREKA CLUB (DEPARTMENT OF SCIENCE)

Eureka club (Department of Science) organised career guidance session for final year PCM students on 8 TH May 2023. The session was started with the introduction about the importance of science. The resource person for the session was Prof. Sonima Mohan, faculty of Department of Science. Around 13 students participated in the session. The diversity of physics careers is an appealing aspect for prospective students. Physics graduates have skills that are in high demand in diverse sectors. These include skills relating to numeracy, problem-solving, data analysis and the communication of complex ideas, as well as a wider understanding of how the world works on a scientific and human level.

Presentation was given by Prof. Sonima Mohan about the various job opportunities and higher studies related with scienceShe also explained the techniques related to the preparation for competitive exams and regarding the collection of study materials. The session was very interactive and informative. The students gained information about the wide range of career prospects or job opportunities after completion of the course.
