INTERNATIONAL EARTH DAY: 22 APRIL 2023 - NATIONAL CADET CORPS (NCC)

St. Francis De Sales College NCC celebrated International Earth Day on 22 nd April 2023. The theme for this year was “Invest in Our Planet", calling for businesses to shift towards sustainable practices. They organized activities like awareness session on lake cleaning, tree plantation and also planted saplings in college campus which will have a positive impact on the environment.

The day began wherein the cadets had given a short awareness session to the UG students of the college. 15 cadets participated in the lake cleaning activity. The commitment towards the environmental stewardship create a positive impact among the public. The cadets thanked the Commanding Officer Col. M R Suresh, Adam Officer Lt. Col. Ravindra Singh, Subedar Major Vinay Thakur, Vice Principal Rev Fr Jijo Jose and our Associate NCC Officer Capt. Sampath Kumar R for providing us opportunity to spread awareness about our mother earth.
