A SHORT TREK TO NARAYANA GIRI HILLS: 12 DECEMBER 2021 – NATIONAL CADET CORPS (NCC)

On 12 th December 2021, under the guidance of our ANO Lt. Sampath Kumar R, the NCC unit of SFS College conduced trekking to Narayana Giri Hills at Ramanagar district of Karnataka, where in 100 cadets enthusiastically took part.

Adventure is the life blood of youth. Adventure training provides knowledge to cadets of the topography as well as experience of different weather conditions. The aim is to inculcate a spirit of adventure, explorative inquisitiveness, develop stamina, endurance, discipline, courage, determination, comradeship, leadership leading to development of self-confidence, team spirit and spirit-de- corps. The cadets were taken to the destination wherein they marched towards two hills. Later, they cleaned the surrounding area by spreading awareness among the people to promote Swatch Bharath and keep their surroundings clean. Further, recreational activities were conducted. The trekking activity was concluded with the National Anthem following which the gathering travelled back to home.
