ORIENTATION PROGRAM ON E- WASTE: 14 JUNE 2022 - THE DEPARTMENT OF SCIENCE (BSC)

An extension activity and orientation program on E- waste was organized by the Department of Science on 14 th June 2022. The BSC students undertook the initiative of visiting Shree Ananthnagar Vidhyaniketan School, Electronic City under the guidance of Prof. Rashmi, Prof. Roshini and Prof. Maya Mathew, Department of Science, St. Francis de Sales College.

The objective was to enable the high school students to gain knowledge on E-waste management and to promote the importance of science in higher education. A team of 15 students from department of science planned the schedule and content to be delivered with the help of members. Students had a good experience interacting with the children of Shree Ananthnagar Vidhyaniketan school. From this session school student got an awareness on E-waste management and how it has to be collected separately, treated effectively, and disposed of e-waste
