STUDENTS NATIONAL SEMINAR: EUNOIA -2022 ON “A MULTIDISCIPLINARY APPROACH TO LEARNING ENGLISH LANGUAGE AND LITERATURE”: 25 JUNE 2022 - IQAC & CHAUCER’S ACADEMY-DEPARTMENT OF ENGLISH

The Research Cell in collaboration with Department of English, St. Francis de Sales College organized the Student National Seminar-EUNOIA 2022 on 25 June 2022 in the closed auditorium. The titled of the seminar was “A Multidisciplinary Approach to Learning English Language and Literature.” The main objective of the seminar was to give focus on the multidisciplinary approach to learning English Language and Literature.

The keynote speaker of the event was Ms. Meidini Prabhu. She is a linguist with a flair for writing, creative thinking and visualization. She has worked with advertising agencies, feature agency, animation firm. Apart from creative writing, she has insightful experience in interaction with clients and interviewing people in different fields. Also, she is a part of textbook committee for Generic English Course, Bangalore University and one of the authors of the book ‘Spoken English for Corporate Jobs’. Presently, she is working with Surana College (autonomous) as the Head of the Department, English and Coordinator for BA Humanities Programme.

Prof. Meidini Prabhu addressed the gathering and motivated them to take up research in various disciplines. She pointed out that multidisciplinary approach to research will not only widen their horizon of knowledge but also help them to contribute in other areas. Total 17 research papers were presented in the seminar. There were both online as well as offline presenters. Judges announced the Best Presenter Award. Bhavyaa A N and Rishitha P from IV sem BCOM won the best presenter award for the research paper titled “I achieve not because of my gender: A journey into the autobiography: I am Vidhya. Bhagyalakshmi K A who presented the research paper titled “A Psychological Study of Anita Desai’s women” won the best offline presenter award. All the winners were awarded certificate and cash prize. All the presenters and participants received the certificates for the presentation and participation respectively.
